Common Issues
Troubleshoot campaigns by symptom: a campaign that doesn't call, no success rate, and recipients that aren't added.
A campaign doesn't call
- Check its state. Only a Running campaign calls. Drafts need Launch; paused campaigns need Resume.
- Check its calling hours. Outside them, the campaign stays running but waits.
- Check the Pre-Call hook. When the hook fails, or two active Pre-Call handlers cover the business, recipients are retried every 5 minutes, without using an attempt, and aren't called until it works. Check the handler's executions under Settings -> Automation -> Event Handlers. See Pre-Call.
- Check the recipients. Recipients who were skipped, reached or used all their attempts aren't called again.
- Calls fail to connect: see Call failures.
A campaign shows no success rate
The success rate counts calls whose collected value success is true, yes or 1. Set it from a Call Completed hook or an action during the call.
Recipients aren't added
- One-shot campaigns take recipients only when they're created. Use a continuous campaign to add more later.
- Completed and canceled campaigns don't accept recipients.
- Phone numbers must be E.164, such as
+15551234567. - Duplicates are skipped: a number already waiting in the campaign, or a
dedupeKeyused before. See De-duplication.
