Last checked: 16 October 2026. Scope: obtaining numbers for inbound/general telephony.
Number types and address rules
| Type | Required address |
|---|---|
| Local | Matching area-code region; no PO box |
| Mobile, national, toll-free | Belgium |
All types require address evidence.
What to prepare
Businesses: commercial-register extract proving name and registration number. Address proof can be the extract, utility bill, tax notice, rent receipt, or title deed. Local/national/toll-free also require Belgian VAT number; mobile instead lists the authorized representative's contact email and enterprise number.
Individuals: name, ID/passport and document number, plus address proof from a utility bill, tax notice, rent receipt, or title deed. Local/national/toll-free require birth date. Mobile instead lists an authorized-representative contact email.
Before ordering
Even toll-free requires a Belgian address. Use the enterprise number exactly as registered; do not assume a foreign address qualifies for non-geographic numbers.
These are preparation notes, not a stock or approval guarantee. Check the exact number's Voice capability and current registration form. For shared terms and the ordering steps, see the overview.
