Number types and address rules

PO boxes are excluded; all types require address evidence.

What to prepare

Local businesses: name and SAT tax-status certificate; address evidence from that certificate, utility bill or government correspondence (latter two within 12 months).

Toll-free businesses: registration plus address proof from registration, utility bill or government correspondence (latter two within 12 months).

Mobile businesses: registration (SAT certificate for Mexican entities; incorporation equivalent for foreign entities), website, RFC, representative's ID/passport, email (no aliases; personal domains may need extra checks) and authorization from registration/articles or director/officer-signed power of attorney. Foreign entities use Twilio's specified RFC placeholder XEXX010101000. Address evidence: utility bill/government correspondence within three months.

Individuals: local/toll-free require ID/passport and address proof (ID showing address, utility bill or government correspondence within 12 months). Mobile requires Mexican photo ID with CURP or qualifying Mexican residence card, CURP, and Mexican address evidence (ID or bills/correspondence within three months); limit ten numbers per registration.

Before ordering

Mobile is restricted to two-way person-to-person communication; do not assume suitability for an automated support line.
